Meet Kim
Hi, welcome to my website. I’m Kim, and I offer both short- and long-term counselling for adults and young people. I’m based in East Sussex and also provide online sessions. At the moment, I’m not taking on couples counselling.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 25 years supporting people through a wide range of challenges across both statutory and voluntary services. My experience includes working in areas such as substance misuse, sexual health, criminal and sexual exploitation, and services supporting women and girls affected by violence.
I’ve also worked in fostering and with children in care, as well as supporting families experiencing child and adolescent to parent/carer violence.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I aim to offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported.

I can help with a range of issues, including:
-
Domestic abuse recovery
-
Trauma
-
Sexual assault and violence
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Bereavement
-
Perinatal support
-
Substance misuse
If you decide to book an introductory session, we can gently explore what’s brought you to counselling and see whether I’m the right person to support you. It’s important that you feel comfortable, so if it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I’ll be more than happy to help you find someone who is, and can signpost you to other counsellors.
I hold a level 6 diploma in Counselling, and I’m registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)
I am also a member of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA)
I adhere to the code of ethics set out by NCPS which can be downloaded below.
I also hold a valid DBS certificate.
